• Everyone knows everyone else.
• We all talk to each other and care about each other.
1. If a person is going to have surgery and will need help or be stuck at home afterwards, we have a supportive meeting before the surgery. We let them know we care. We ask them how we can be helpful, and then we do it.
2. If someone is moving from the community, we have a circle of parting. We stay in touch with them.
3. On a person’s birthday, we ask some questions. One of which is what we can do to help them in the coming year. The person asking the questions also shares a nice comment about the birthday person, and they get their favorite dessert.
