Songaia is most decidedly a part of our broader community...

Community Organizations: Help grow our movement
Institute of Cultural Affairs

The Institute of Cultural Affairs is a strong part of Songaia's history (they formerly owned part of our land) and our relationship endures, as Songaia hosts ICA's Rites of Passage programs.

Northwest Intentional Communities Association

The Northwest Intentional Communities Association (NICA) was formed in 1992 with active involvement from Songaia members. This group helps pull together many different Northwest intentional communities and is a great resource for communities and people who seek community life.

Fellowship for Intentional Communities

The Fellowship for Intentional Communities (FIC) nurtures connections and cooperation among communitarian and their friends. The FIC is best known as the publisher of the Communities Directory and Communities Magazine.

Cohousing Association of the United States

Songaia uses the Cohousing Model for its infrastructure and parts of its organizing principles, e.g. concensus decision making, designing for social interactions, etc. Cohousing.org is the best known cohousing network.
